Tastee Marks 60 Years With a Free Anniversary Concert at Emancipation Park

Six decades after the very first Tastee patty came out of the oven, Tastee is saying thank you the best way Jamaica knows how — with a big, free concert. The Tastee 60th Anniversary Concert brings the island together for a night of live music, giveaways and celebration at one of Kingston's most iconic green spaces.

When and where is the Tastee 60th Anniversary Concert?

The concert takes place on Friday, August 28, 2026, running from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Emancipation Park in New Kingston. Best of all, admission is completely free — so gather the family and friends and come celebrate 60 years of the original Jamaican patty under the stars.

The lineup reads like a who's who of Jamaican music, spanning reggae, dancehall and gospel across generations. Taking the stage are:

Tastee opened its doors in 1966, when entrepreneur Vincent Chang set out to give Jamaicans the best-tasting patty on the island. What started at Union Square in Kingston grew into a household name, later moving to its Cross Roads headquarters and expanding across the country. Six decades on, the Tastee patty remains a proud part of everyday Jamaican life — and this concert is a thank-you to the customers who made that journey possible.
